THE SHORE

SHE IS trying crying returning
HE IS against / along /the shore
in streams /    lakes    / rivers /   /bodies/     oceans / of time WE ARE
drinking others, filling up THEY ARE
the same as us brimming a different vessel, for a while, until the next rain or the next flood or the next simmering chant of the sun
SHE IS piping pumping pushing pissing
THEY ARE water / blood / bile / oil
floating flowing falling fizzing with the power to carve the world
being one then another then another spilling spitting spraying spouting
plunging to the depths HE IS
swimming with ancestors who are descendants WE ARE
damning damming draining drinking the river swims deeper into the ground
the ocean swims deeper into the ground the glacier swims deeper into the ground
the water - watch out! -
